The process: You, the customer, send an email to: MakenaTile@aol.com or call me: Janna (808)205-8453 between the hours of 9am and 8pm Hawaii time- 7 days a week- Tell me what you are looking for and either the measurements of the space where the mural will go- or the measurements of the mural you want if you already know what size your looking for. I'll need to know the color of the tile going around it if its to be placed in a wall. Cabinet colors- and counter top color would be helpful for me to know as well. I draw you my mural concept and see if you like the design. I make any alterations you might request and then present you with a final design for approval. Upon your approval- you will need to pay a nonrefundable deposit for 1/2 the total cost for the mural.

Note: out of state checks are held for 7 business days and must clear before I proceed to the next step in the process.
stone I've chosen. If they like it I proceed to cut and shape the stone using an assortment of wet saws, grinders, and hand tools. Each piece is hand sanded and polished to enhance the natural color. I take pictures of the finished pieces laid out as they would be on the mural for customers approval. This is when any minor design changes need to be worked out. Minor changes due to dissatisfaction with color or composition are usually done at no charge.* If the customer is satisfied with the mural progress and is satisfied with the composition- The balance for the mural is paid at this time. I then complete the mural- cutting it into the background, cementing onto backer- grouting and sealing. I build the shipping crate an get the shipping estimate from Fed Ex. The shipping can either be charged to your Fed Ex account- if you have one- or I can send you an email PayPal invoice for it. I take pictures of the finished mural prior to packing in the crate to show the customer exactly what they are getting. Its their last chance to address any issues they might have with it. Murals are shipped in a wood crate- firmly packed between two pieces of cushion foam. __________________________________________________ Murals are installed as if they were one large tile. Custom murals can be made with built in wire hanging ring clips on the back for hanging the mural like a picture on the wall. Please
30 lbs depending on size. *One request allowed at no charge: Prior to cutting into the background tile and altering no more than 25% of the overall mural. Alterations after its already cut into the background tile will be done at an hourly rate of $40 per hour + materials |
MURAL DESIGN WORK Custom mural orders come with one free mural design based on your description. Adjustments to the design are allowed as long as they effect less than a quarter of the mural . Additional designs can be drawn for you to choose from at a rate of $15 an hour. |
CUSTOM MURAL ORDER DEPOSIT A deposit of half of the estimated mural total must be made to reserve the time to fabricate your mural. The remainder along with the estimated shipping must be received before I ship the mural out. The deposit is a non refundable as I use it to purchase the murals materials. |
